Aurora Propulsion Technologies to Showcase Key In-Orbit Capabilities at “Finland’s Role in Space & Defense” Event in Bremen
Aurora Propulsion Technologies is proud to announce its central role in the exclusive “Finland’s Role in Space & Defense” side event, taking place at Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen on November 19.
This invitation-only event, organized by CELSTRAT and Business Finland, will bring together eight of Finland’s most innovative space companies to demonstrate the nation’s full, end-to-end capability. As a new NATO member, Finland is uniquely positioned to deliver sovereign, resilient space solutions, and this event will showcase that integrated value chain.
Aurora will be a key participant in both the event’s technical workshop and its strategic defence panel, bridging the gap between deep-tech engineering and high-level mission strategy.
Technical Deep-Dive: Workshop #2

At 11:00, Aurora’s CTO & Co-Founder, Perttu Yli-Opas, will be a featured speaker in Workshop #2: “The Asset: Engineering the High-Performance Space Segment”.
Alongside leaders from ASRO, Huld, and ReOrbit, Perttu will provide a technical deep-dive into the engineering and integration of Aurora’s propulsion modules. The presentation will focus on the performance metrics and maneuverability that enable mission-critical functions, from collision avoidance to sustainable, rapid de-orbiting.
Strategic Vision: The Defence Panel

At 15:00, Aurora’s CEO, Pekka Blomberg, will join the event’s strategic capstone, the Panel Discussion: “Finland’s Edge: Delivering Resilient Space Capabilities for Defence & Security”.
Moderated by Aurora’s CCO, Aziza Ibrayeva, this panel will feature leaders from Huld, NorthBase, and SharpNav. Pekka will discuss the critical in-orbit dimension of asset resilience, focusing on how propulsion and maneuverability are no longer optional but are fundamental requirements for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and the operational life of modern defence assets.
A New Era for Finnish Space
“Our significant role in this event underscores Aurora’s position as a critical enabler of Finland’s sovereign space capability,” said Aziza Ibrayeva, CCO of Aurora Propulsion Technologies. “This event is the perfect platform to demonstrate to our partners and allies how our in-orbit mobility and de-orbiting solutions are essential for building the resilient, sustainable, and secure space assets that the modern era demands.”
Aurora Propulsion Technologies will also be exhibiting at Hall 4, Stand 802.
We invite our partners, satellite manufacturers, and government agencies to join us at this exclusive event and to visit our stand. To schedule a private 1:1 meeting with our leadership team, please contact us at sales@aurorapt.fi.
